instruction and airplane rental in the greater Memphis TN area. Our pilot programs are developed
from years of military and civilian flight training experience and can accommodate part-time student
pilots and full-time commercial pilot training in our Piper aircraft, equipped with modern avionics.

Barry Gee
Team Leader
Barry started First Team Pilot Training because the world needs more people excited about flying and the airlines need more pilots. By sharing his aviation passion with people of all backgrounds, he hopes to build an enthusiastic community of pilots willing to help lead, mentor and train others to reach their goals.
Barry has lived in Memphis since the age of 3, with layovers in Seattle WA, Newport RI, Chicoutimi QC and Montpellier France. He received his B.S from Christian Brothers University and International MBA from the University of Memphis. Barry worked 19 years in all areas of marketing at FedEx where he helped many others achieve their goals.
Pete Reddan
Senior Flight Instructor - DPE
Pete began flying at the age of 16 but always had his head in the clouds since three years old, his father would take him to LaGuardia Airport in New York to watch flight arrive and depart. Pete Attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and graduated in 1995 with his Bachelor’s Degree along with all his pilot certificates and ratings. His first job was flight instructing near Boston, Massachusetts, where he not only flight instructed, but also provided traffic reporting for a local radio station. Pete entered the United States Air Force in 1997 as a Pilot. He was a KC-10 Co-Pilot and Aircraft Commander, T-6A Texan II Instructor and Evaluator Pilot, as well as a C-17 Instructor Pilot. After retiring from the Air Force, Pete has run a large flight school as an Assistant Chief Instructor, opened his own company called Vapor Global Aviation, and stays sharp as an instructor providing instruction at First Team Pilot Training.
Pete’s Certificates and Ratings: Commercial Pilot ASEL/AMEL with DC-10 Type Rating, CFI, CFII, MEI, and DPE for Private, Instrument, Commercial both ASEL and AMEL.
Eugene Jones

Growing up with a desire to learn to fly and ultimately journey into aircraft ownership, Eugene Jones, a Memphis native, aviation enthusiast and photographer was able to do just that. His career as a software consultant allowed him to achieve his and expand his passion for aviation.
Kale Czerwonka
Flight Instructor
Six years ago, Kale was bitten by the aviation bug and has been flying ever since. Apart from flying, he is an Army Reserve Air Traffic Controller with one combat deployment last year. Kale is a CFI, CFII, AGI, CPL, and a FAAST Team representative. Kale love flying and anything aviation and getting to share that passion with others.
Andrew Bondar
Flight Instructor
Andrew wanted to be a pilot ever since he was a kid. His journey in aviation began at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He graduated in December of 2020 with Bachelor’s of Science in Aeronautical Science. Andrew has been flight instructing since August of 2019 in Florida, while still in college. Growing up in Philadelphia made Andrew an Eagles fan. He also enjoys collecting vinyl records and is a certified scuba diver.
